Awardees Announced for Trainee Research Day 2019

On Monday, the Department of Pathology & Immunology hosted its annual Trainee Research Day. The event celebrates research by residents and clinical fellows. It featured presentations both oral and poster from trainees that submitted abstracts to a committee within the department.

Awardees were chosen by guest faculty member Ulysses Balis MD, the director of the Division of Pathology Informatics, University of Michigan and resident committee members, Jie Chen MD, Adam Bailey MD PhD, Ivan Gonzalez MD, and Arjun Raman MD PhD.

The day concluded with an award presentation held at Wild Flower Loft in the Central West End.

The following individuals were chosen for an award:

  • Christopher Farnsworth, PhD – Best clinical pathology (CP) poster award
  • Jie-Fu Chen, MD – Best Anatomical Pathology (AP) Poster award
  • Ray Zhang, MD, PhD – Best CP oral presentation award
  • Parker Wilson, MD, PhD – Best AP oral presentation award
