Because pathology combines basic research in disease pathogenesis with clinical medicine, our discipline is ideally positioned to lead in many areas of translational research. Pathology will continue to play important roles in moving new scientific discoveries from the bench to the bedside.
The department has outstanding physical support for its diverse basic, translational and clinical research activities. Pathology faculty and programs are located at several sites on the medical campus.
