Lab Tech Continuing Education
Overview
All registered medical technologists need to meet continuing education (CE) requirements to maintain their certification and practice. Continuing education ensures that professionals stay up-to-date with the latest advancements, techniques, and best practices in their field, ultimately improving patient care. The specific CE requirements (number of credits, topics, etc.) can vary depending on the certifying organization and the specific credential held.
WashU Medicine Pathology faculty and trainees create AP and CP educational material to help registered medical technologists meet continuing education (CE) requirements to maintain their certification and practice. Free, on-demand videos can be found here and on SABA. At the completing of each SABA video a certificate is generated for your documentation. Topics include chemistry, toxicology, blood banking, microbiology and more.
