Monitoring of pathogen positivity rates can be useful way to identify, anticipate, and track the activity of pathogens in our local community. The Weekly Pathogen Report has been designed in a collaboration between Barnes Jewish Hospital and the Department of Pathology and Immunology with these goals in mind. It summarizes pathogen testing and positivity trends across the BJC hospital system.
This report encompasses all patient testing in the BJC hospital system. It is updated weekly and shows the previous week’s positives, total tests performed, positivity rates, four-week averages, and the trends per pathogen. Users can navigate from the weekly report main page to pathogen specific pages by clicking on the pathogen names. This will display two charts, the first showing the weekly positives (if positives are present) and the seasonal data over the last 4+ seasons.
