The Department of Pathology & Immunology places a major emphasis on the training of graduate students. The graduate curriculum provides diverse opportunities for structured, supervised and independent learning. In addition, the research activities of our faculty are broad in scope, ranging from basic to translational.
The department plays a pivotal role in the immunology program within the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences. However, our faculty members contribute to several other programs in the division including:

The heads of the basic science medical departments, the Department of Pathology & Immunology and the Department of Biology form an executive committee that oversees all graduate student programs. Any student admitted to the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences has the option of pursuing graduate training with a member of the Department of Pathology & Immunology.
