Gwen Randolph, PhD, Emil R. Unanue Professor of Pathology & Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine, has received an Outstanding Faculty Award from the Graduate Student Senate at Washington University in St. Louis. Outstanding faculty mentors are selected “based on evidence of exceptional contributions to graduate students’ quality of life and workplace, scholarly development, and professional development,” the Graduate Student Senate said on its website.
“This award means a lot to me. Realizing that I have helped make a positive difference in the educational experiences and lives of students is an incredible thing. It is what we are meant to do as mentors and leaders,” Dr. Randolph said.
Dr. Randolph co-directs the Immunology Training Program in the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences (DBBS), which boasts a broad spectrum of research including studies of the basic structural and molecular levels of host defense and clinical applications directed at significant health problems, such as cancer immunotherapy.
