Several residents and fellows recently attended the 54th annual Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists (ACLPS) meeting in Salt Lake City, UT. The meeting, held May 30-June 1, included cutting-edge Young Investigator presentations and an awards banquet. Residents from the Department of Pathology & Immunology presented a total of 12 talks and one poster.
Eight trainees were awarded the Paul E. Strandjord Young Investigator Award, including Adam Bailey and Jonathan Brestoff who were recognized for their outstanding presentations by being awarded the Young Investigator Award with Distinction.
ACLPS was founded in 1966 and currently has active affiliations with 70 of the approximately 150 academic and community centers that train pathology residents in clinical pathology. They are dedicated to advancing teaching and scholarship in laboratory medicine.
