Dr. Colonna - also received a two-year $473,622 industry contract from MedImmune, LLC, entitled “pDC in Human Biology and Pathology”.

Steven Teitelbaum, M.D., Messing Professor of Pathology and Immunology, Professor of Medicine, and Chief, Division of Anatomic and Molecular Pathology, - received the International Bone and Mineral Society’s Pieter Gaillard Founders Award on April 27, 2015 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The IBMS Pieter Gaillard Founders Award is in recognition of outstanding contributions, research, leadership, and dedication to the International Bone & Mineral Society and the field of bone and mineral research.

Jennifer Enright, M.D., Ph.D., Graduate student in the lab of Joseph Corbo, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pathology and Immunology, of Genetics, and of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, - is the winner of the 2015 O’Leary Prize for her presentation, entitled “Dynamic Spectral Tuning of Photoreceptors is Mediated by Cyp27c1”. http://neuroscienceresearch.wustl.edu/Pages/OLearyPrize.aspx

Daved Fremont, Ph.D., Professor of Pathology and Immunology, of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics, and of Molecular Microbiology, - received a one-year $231,539 grant from the National Institutes of Health, entitled “Mechanisms of Orthopoxvirus Host Control and Viral Immune Evasion Continuation”.

Archana Shenoy, M.D., second year resident in Anatomic and Molecular Pathology, - received the Gordon F. Vawter Pathologist in Training Award at the Society for Pediatric Pathology 2015 Spring Meeting for her paper entitled, “Clinical Targeted Next-Generation Sequencing of Malignancies in the Pediatric Age Group: Spectrum of Identified Mutations”. The meeting was in March.

Eugene Oltz, Ph.D., Professor of Pathology and Immunology, - received a five-year $1,906,250 grant from the National Institutes of Health, entitled “Topological Mechanisms of DNA Break Repair in Lymphocytes”.

Marco Colonna, M.D., Professor of Pathology and Immunology, Robert Rock Belliveau, M.D. Professorship in Pathology, and Professor of Medicine, - received a four-year $1,372,500 grant from the National Institutes of Health / National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, entitled “CRTAM-CADM1 Interaction in the Biology of Gut Lymphocytes”.

Nima Mosammaparast, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Pathology and Immunology, - received a five-year $1,744,220 grant from the National Institutes of Health, entitled “Mechanism and Regulation of the DNA Alkylation Damage Response”.

Ronald Jackups, M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Pathology and Immunology, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and Assistant Medical Director of BJH Blood Bank and Hematology Laboratory, - received a one-year $35,835 grant from the Barnes Jewish Hospital Foundation, entitled “Development of Clinical Decision Support Tools for Patient Blood Management”.
