Shashikant Kulkarni, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pathology and Immunology, of Genetics, and of Pediatrics, Head, Clinical Genomics of Genomics and Pathology Services, and Medical Director, Cytogenomics and Molecular Pathology, - received a honor award from the Centers for Disease Control and Agency for Toxic Subtstances and Disease Registry, US Department of Health and Human Services for his excellence in partnering in “Next Generation Sequencing- Standardization of Clinical Testing".

Dr. Burnham - also received the Ellis Benson Award at the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists (ACLPS) meeting in San Francisco in May.

Jonathan Heusel, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pathology and Immunology and of Genetics, - received three-year $29,912 grant from the National Institutes of Health, New Subaward from Children's Hospital Medical Center (Shaaban), entitled “The NK Cell Response to Prenatal Allotransplantation”.
