Clinical Chemistry Journal Highlights Mitch Scott, PhD

The American Academy for Clinical Chemistry has published it’s the most recent version of the Clinical Chemistry journal and it features a familiar face.

The department’s own Mitchell Scott, PhD graces the cover, in addition, the series presents the achievements of distinguished clinical chemists. Scott joins an illustrious and short list of clinical pathologists to be featured by Clinical Chemistry, the most cited clinical pathology journal.

The article highlights the traits and achievements of Scott that make him one of the most respected in the field. Among these include his devotion to teaching and training. To date, he has trained over 50 clinical fellows and countless residents: highlighting one of his greatest character traits, the desire to see others succeed.

AACC’s Clinical Chemistry is the leading international journal of clinical laboratory science, providing 2,000 pages per year of peer-reviewed papers that advance the science of the field. The journal also boasts the highest impact factor among journals of clinical chemistry, clinical or anatomic pathology, analytical chemistry, and subspecialties, such as transfusion medicine and clinical microbiology.
