Research Interests

Most of my work has revolved around mass spectrometric method development and data analysis for the identification and quantification of proteins and their chemical and post-translational modifications (PTMs). More recently, my focus has shifted to immunopeptidomics, an emerging field in which MHC-bound peptides are isolated and analyzed by LC-MS/MS to obtain sequence information. In collaboration with Dr. Robert Schreiber, I am characterizing the immunopeptidomes of various tumor cell lines with the specific goal of identifying tumor neoantigens. I am working with Dr. Emil Unanue and Dr. Xiaoxiao Wan to identify Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) self-antigens.
