| I am interested in how host-associated microbial community compositions can influence disease states in mammals. I am currently investigating the contribution of the gut microbiome to gastrointestinal associated pathology in research macaque colonies, and attempting to identify novel viral determinants of inflammatory bowel disease in humans. In addition, I have a long-standing interest in pathogen evolution. |
